Suzuki (July 2007, Week Vol. 30)

what you missed
Jul-29-2007
??? Mariners center fielder Ichiro Suzuki had an interesting eighth inning Saturday. During a pitching change, a fan came out of the stands and started talking to Suzuki and left fielder Raul Ibanez. It took security a minute to realize the man, who was wearing a jersey, was not a player. As security approached, the fan gave Suzuki a hug. After checking to see that the fan did not have any weapons, Suzuki played along and lightly hugged the fan back. The fan then lay down on the grass before being handcuffed.
