Renault-Nissan says it's still fourth-largest automaker

LONDON (MarketWatch) -- The alliance between Renault and Nissan retained its position as the world's fourth largest automaker by sales during 2006, the companies said Tuesday. Renault's sales dropped 4% to 2.4 million, while Nissan's dropped 3.3% to 3.5 million. Renault owns 44% of Nissan, and Nissan owns 15% of Renault.
