Nissan Halves Metal Consumption of Automotive Catalyst

Nissan Motor Co. Ltd. developed a new automotive catalyst that purifies exhaust gas of gasoline-powered vehicles with about half the amount of metal used by the former products. The company will adopt the catalyst to the new-model vehicles to be released in 2008 and other future models.
