Nell Audi Atty celebrated her 100th birthday on April 3, 2007. Mrs. Atty's parents, John and Catherine Audi, emigrated from Lebanon in the late 1890s and settled in . Mrs. Atty and her family enjoyed being together, doing chores and entertaining guests at 'The ' at 204 High St. Atty was one of eight siblings.
After graduating from Coughlin High School in 1925, Mrs. Atty went to Wilkes-Barre Business School. Later she opened and operated Nell's Shop, a dress shop specializing in hosiery and lingerie.
