Man pleads guilty in show dog deaths

Santos L. Labajetta, 32, of Munroe Falls pleaded guilty to charges of arson and grand theft in the death of two show dogs in January.

Labajetta said he did not know the dogs were in the back of the vehicle he stole from the Sheraton Suites in Cuyahoga Falls and set on fire in a field in Munroe Falls.

Charges were dropped against Kimberly A. White for obstructing official business. She was not involved in the theft and arson, but had been accused of destroying evidence that would have implicated Labajetta.
